I am experimenting with Assembly4 to see how better this design process can be.įor instance, I am trying to convert a manual assembly of a device that I made myself in the past.

I use to create assemblies by moving and positioning objects myself. Is this a good practice or this should be avoided? Then I am applying manual offsets and rotation to move my LCS to the expected place.

Of course, there are many attachment systems that I have no idea how they work yet. Is it normal to fight a bit when creating an LCS? Sometimes it looks like the LCS does not move to the expected place. After placing an LCS, can the selection be restaured to where it was at the beginning of this process which is in the Yellow Body? So, keep adding LCS is tedious process, since I have to fold the Blue Body again since it has a huge list of features (this is optional, but I would prefer to keep the Body closed since I am not working with it) and then scroll up to the Yellow Body to add a new LCS. Now, The Blue Body inside is expanded (which is not what I would ever want) and the selection is not the Yellow Body anymore. It should be still selected as I did before as starting this process. Then, the task menu closes and I don't have my Yellow body selected anymore. So, these are my steps, please, correct me if I am doing something not expected. Which is normal, and may happen eventually. It happens that I want to place more than 1 LCS in a single part.
